In 1994, Darpana’s amphitheater Natarani, Gujarat’s only state-of-the-arts venue, came into existence to give local audiences the opportunity to see the world-class performance, and to give artists a platform to build on. In 2018, Natarani re-opened after three and a half years of-- construction, hard-work, and determination--reimagining a home, a stage and a wall that overlooked the Sabarmati River. This time around, they are back with a bang and aims to bring to the people of Ahmedabad the best of art, theatre, music, and culture from across India and the world. Having already collaborated with the NCPA to bring the Symphony Orchestra of India every month, they also brought the best Indian theatre to the Sunday to Sunday Theatre Festival and kicked off their first D Talks with eminent filmmaker Saeed Mirza.
