Another incident happened with Jet Airways in the month of December!

December surely did not start on a good note for Jet Airways and sadly, the bad luck prevails till the end of the month for them. At the start of the month, Jet Airways flight scheduled from Mumbai to Bhopal was hijacked by an influential family, the very next day the flight scheduled from Kolkata to Bengaluru made an emergency landing at Hyderabad and today morning the flight scheduled from Goa to Mumbai veered off the runway at Dabolim airport in Goa while aligning for takeoff.

Jet Airways said in a statement: "The flight 9W 2374 from Goa-Mumbai skidded off the runway at Dabolim airport this morning due to a technical glitch while aligning for takeoff."

The flight 9W 2374 with 161 passengers on board, including 7 crew members was evacuated safely. However few passengers (reportedly 15 passengers) have sustained minor injuries and fractures during evacuation and were taken to the hospital. The Jet Airways team and airport authorities are providing medical assistance to those injured in the incident.

Jet said in another statement: “All guests and crew have been safely evacuated. Few guests have sustained injuries during the evacuation process and medical assistance is being coordinated by the Jet Airways team and the airport authorities."

Meanwhile, Dabolim airport has been closed down for operations and Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) will investigate the Jet Airways accident.
