Pollywood Meets Hollywood: Guru Randhawa Collaborates With Pitbull
Recently, the news of the Desi chartbuster Guru Randhawa collaborating with International rapper Pitbull has set the social media ablaze. The announcement was made last weekend when both the hit-machines were spot shooting for their upcoming single in the scenic beauty of Miami, Florida.
The track called “Slowly Slowly” will be released in 2019 as per Guru. The high-energy dance number is directed by the popular DirectorGifty.
After delivering hits after hits including Patola, Tu Meri Rani, Suit, High Rated Gabru, Lahore and more, the Punjabi heartthrob is all set for his new partnership. This is what he had to say on the recent development, “I am quite excited to collaborate with Pitbull and the song has turned out good. Pitbull’s contribution to the song adds a magical spin that gives it yet another International twist. It’s a huge step ahead in going global. This year has been phenomenal with Bhushan Ji’s support and T-Series becoming the most viewed channel in the world, I think this collaboration will set Indian music on the global map.”
In his recent Instagram post, Guru seemed excited with the new project and grateful to Bhushan Kumar, Chairman, and MD of T-series and his team for their collective efforts. As per sources, the music is produced by RedMoney, Black Out, MKSHFT, DJ Shadow and Vee.
The Grammy award-winning singer is no new name. He has gives us hits like Give Me Everything, Timber, I Know You Want Me, Hotel Room Service, to name a few. Back 2013, Pitbull collaborated with Priyanka Chopra for the steamy-single “Exotic”. The song debuted No.1 on India’s iTunes as well as garland top positions on Billboard, Canadian Top 100, among others.
Regarding this new assignment, Pitbull was also excited to share his comments, which stated “We can't wait! Looking forward to Slowly Slowly making its way around the world quickly.”
Struggle
The limelight didn’t come easy for the Punjabi star. Prior to his biggest hit Lahore which has over 630 million views across YouTube, Guru has released various songs (single and collaborative) with various artists which went unheard. As per him, his major break came with Patola feat Bohemia after which he started getting recognition in the Pollywood circle.
