As a management professional, one should have a clear thought-process of one's career path. The college has all kinds of facilities to ensure that the students have a complete and enriching experience and have the opportunities for their overall development. We start with the very obvious Academics building, where all the classes take place. There are lecture theatres, classrooms, seminar hall, auditorium, IT Labs, faculty cabins, and the Management Office. There is a café to take quick bites during short lecture breaks for the hungry ones, popularly known as the Bru Café. Personal tip: do try out the Chips Sandwich, word has it that it is something people wait in queues for. The college library is mainly divided into 3 broad categories – the reading room, the library and the discussion zone. The name of these 3 sections is self-explanatory. IBS Hyderabad is true its words when they boast of being mini India. Students from almost all states of India can be found in this institution, thus giving an opportunity of getting an exposure to a richly diverse culture at IBS Hyderabad. The campus has Gym, Swimming Pool, Indoor Stadium for Badminton courts, Basketball courts, Volleyball courts, Music and Dance studios anything and everything we can imagine related to extra-curricular activities. Apart from these, the college provides postal services as well, in terms that postman comes regularly to deliver collect the posts by charging nominal postal fees. Printing, photocopying vendors are also present inside the Academics Building to facilitate students' and teachers' frequent needs of printing and photocopying. The clinic provides medical assistance to students in need and also a dedicated Ambulance is present within the campus 24*7. The entire campus is WiFi enabled so one need not worry about data connection here. It is a lush green and eco-friendly campus, away from the rush of city life to provide a peaceful learning environment.

As already mentioned, IBS is ‘mini-India’. All the festivals are celebrated by people of all the regions and the best picture of unity can be seen. From Bengalis to Punjabis, Tamils to Gujaratis, it is a beautiful sight to see everybody enjoying every little thing. And not to forget the fresher’s and the farewell parties, ‘prom night and the oh-so-unique fresher’s’ here is something that only an IBSian can relate to. Hostel Life

It is a popular saying, that every student must experience a hostel life at least once. There are many hostels in IBS Hyderabad, divided among the MBA students, BBA students, BTech Students and quarters for the research scholars. For the MBA students (adding both the numbers of boys' and girls' hostels), there are mainly 6 buildings allotted. After a hectic day of classes, the academy really comes to life at night. The night canteen here, popularly known as The Bingers, helps the late-night hunger pangs. There are common rooms on each floor with a few floors having TT-Table. Each hostel has its own dedicated Gym facility and a small badminton court. Resort? Isn’t it? One has the privacy and the fun of a hostel life. When we hear the words ‘hostel' and ‘mess' in the same sentence a common question comes to our mind – How good can the food be, after all, it is a residential college and one is signing up for a hostel life? Believe it or not, the food here is in fact quite better than many other mess facilities that one gets to hear about, especially the night food. Yes, it is a fact that there would be some standard menu which the mess would follow and one cannot expect restaurant dishes but the more important aspects like hygiene, taste, and quantity are well taken care of. There are 2 messes and two canteens. Hence, we get the "Ghar ka khaana" in the mess. The canteens are for the quick bites which one has to purchase every time one wishes to eat. From chicken biriyani to fried rice, from samosas to panipuris, from ice cream to halwa, the mess has every kind of Indian food up its sleeves to offer its students. And yes, one is bound to get used to South Indian food here!

Classes, assignments and more classes. Usually, what defines a normal day in IBS. But what after that? Well, the liberty to walk, sit, run, chat and spend its time anywhere and everywhere inside the 91 acres of land. The lanes are named as per its fame and in every nook and corner of the campus, you would find students doing many activities. Some choose to just sit and gossip their heart out, some choose to hit the gym, some choose to take long walks, some choose to sing and dance and some choose to spend time with their beloved ones. There are some famous lanes inside the campus which comes alive at night and till 11 PM you can hear the chorus of songs, guitars, and gossip- voices. The lit pathway of IBS Hyderabad is never empty except during exams when you can sense the pressure of the end semester exams just by observing the nights becoming quieter.

So when we look around since the campus is situated far away from all the hustles of the city of Hyderabad, the students also have very limited options when it comes to hanging out somewhere nearby. But even if the options are limited, they are sufficient and yummy (the food is all that matters!). Just a few steps away are the nearby Dhabas where all kinds of food are being served, from North Indian dishes to Chinese cuisine to South Indian delicacies. And while you are at one of those, please do try all kinds of paranthas that they have to offer. For the Chicken lovers, the Chicken Cheese Parantha would become their love of the life and for the vegetarians, the Pizza Parantha would be something to die for. The fish lovers would get their cravings please from Narendra Dhaba. Rest assured, wherever you go, you will not be disappointed with the quantity and the quality of food. For the sophisticated dinners, one has OTC Café and Venilla Food Court. It is a little far away from the campus and it would take a while if one wishes to walk all the way. But the surprising thing, these places offer free transportations to the hoppers. The Venilla also has a bowling alley, a hotel, a grocery shopping place and a beauty parlor. Venilla is still not at a walking distance. So, for daily grocery shopping, one chooses to go Balaji Stores where you would get anything and everything required usually on a daily basis. They even help you out with courier services to be sent anywhere across the country. In short, the small town may not have the glitz and glamour of Hyderabad city but it suffices to the daily needs of the inhabitants of IBS. Far from the city, yet so near!

A Normal Day At IBS

A Normal Day At IBS

Having said all that, so how is a normal day at IBS? Well, a day starts with the morning breakfast at respective messes. The classes start from 9:30 AM onwards and as per the schedule, since it varies from section to section, the students attend their respective classes. The duration of each class is 75 mins and you get a short 10 mins break between every consecutive class. One gets a few lectures off as well in the afternoon where you can go and have lunch. The lectures end by 5:50 PM in the evening and then almost everyone heads towards the mess again for their evening snacks. Friends go out, catch up with each other after a hectic day of lectures and assignments. The evening keeps a student busy with various curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities on the campus. There are various clubs which encompasses all fields of management and the students participate in various happenings adding value to their development. A night walk after dinner, a chat session with friends is what one longs for after a tiresome evening of events and studies. A normal day might sometimes be hectic but it's never dull and boring in IBS.
