This new initiative goes by the name of - “Marriot On The Wheels by JW Marriott Chandigarh”. To get this initiative rolling, complete caution with regards to hygiene levels are maintained as per HACCP standards. Extra-ordinary precautionary measures include that with every order that goes out for delivery, a slip with the name of the chef, his temperature reading, food’s temperature at the time of packing is sent and the customers are advised to consume the food within two hours of delivery and dispose of the external packaging immediately on arrival. Digital cashless transactions are the only norm of payments. Expressing his views on the new initiative Ramandeep Marwah, General Manager, JW Marriott, Chandigarh said “JW Marriott shares a strong commitment towards delivering a responsible guest experience ensuring absolute safety from preparation to delivery of each order. We have, therefore, tied up with food aggregators such as zomato and swiggy to serve patrons as per their need creating new experiences that are meaningful, valuable, and convenient for the customers.”

Well, for starters, only one person at a time would be able to order from the brands, and then after ordering has to come out. Their order will be handed over outside the High Street. Also, no Zomato and swiggy delivery boys will be allowed inside. Their orders would be put on the tables, once ready. “We plan to allow only one table with a maximum of 4 people to sit inside the restaurant. The temperature through the thermal scanner of every guest/ staff will be taken once they enter the High Street.” said Vipul Dua, owner, High Street Cafe, on being asked what precautions they are planning to take for dine-in customers.
